The Food Tracker App shortcut has been enhanced to provide more precise and flexible nutritional logging. This update solves the common problem of tracking partial or multiple servings of a food item, ensuring your macro and calorie counts are more accurate than ever. By allowing you to specify exact serving sizes, the shortcut removes the guesswork from your daily food diary.
This update introduces a new prompt that appears after you scan a barcode. The shortcut will now ask you to input the number of servings you consumed, allowing for decimal values like 0.5 for half a serving or 2 for a double portion. Additionally, we've expanded the macro tracking capabilities to include Fiber, giving you a more complete picture of your daily intake alongside calories, protein, carbs, fats, and water.
You can customize the macros that the shortcut tracks. To add or remove a nutritional field (like sugar or sodium), you will need to edit the shortcut. Modify the prompts in the Use ChatGPT actions to include your desired fields, and be sure to create and update the corresponding variables that log the data to your Apple Note. This allows you to tailor the Food Tracker to your specific dietary goals.
The updated Food Tracker shortcut brings a new level of precision to your nutritional logging. By allowing you to specify the exact number of servings consumed, it ensures that your daily totals for calories, macros, and now fiber are as accurate as possible. This enhancement makes it easier than ever to maintain a detailed food diary and stay on track with your health and fitness objectives.
