Whether you're using a saved screenshot from Instagram or taking one in the moment, the shortcut analyzes visual cues like logos, signs, and any visible text to find the location. It then automatically opens the business in Apple Maps for you. Additionally, two companion shortcuts, Favorite Food Spots and Lookup Fav Food Spots, allow you to build and query a personal database of your favorite restaurants, complete with your own ratings.
For the fastest access, add the Find Local Food Spots shortcut to your Control Center. When you see an interesting place on social media, you can swipe down, tap the shortcut, and choose 'Take a Screenshot' for a seamless one-tap workflow. The shortcut also automatically logs every place it finds into a 'Local Food Spots' note, creating a handy history of your discoveries.
