With the web flooded with AI-generated content, it can be tough to tell what's real and what's fake. Whether you're looking at strange Amazon listings or scrolling through social media, you might spot imagery that just feels a little off.
If you're running iOS 27, your iPhone has a built-in trick to help you out. You can now use Siri AI to analyze what's on your screen and tell you if an image is AI-generated. Let's walk through how to use it.
Before you start, make sure you have the following ready:
Open an image on your screen that you want to verify. This could be an Amazon product listing filled with weird-looking stuffed animals or a questionable photo on a website. Make sure the image is clearly visible on your screen.
With the image open, trigger Siri. Simply ask, "Does this look AI-generated?"
Siri AI will scan the content on your screen. If it detects generative AI, it will give you a detailed breakdown of why. For example, it might point out visual inconsistencies like blurred and nonsensical machinery in the background. It can also spot the unnatural blending of a person's fingers with a toy, or a lack of fine, realistic details in fur and faces.

Now you have a quick, built-in tool to fact-check the images you come across every day. The next time a photo looks a little too weird to be true, just let your iPhone do the detective work.
