We have been busy tracking all the latest changes in iOS 27. The updates are heavily focused on quality-of-life improvements. Apple Intelligence is finally flexing its muscles. Siri feels like a genuine smart assistant, and core apps are getting powerful new tools. Let us dive into the best new features that will completely change how you use your iPhone.
Siri AI has become incredibly powerful. It easily replaces third-party chatbots on your home screen. It retains the history of your conversations. It gives you brief, exact answers for general knowledge questions. But the biggest upgrade is its onscreen awareness.
Siri now understands exactly what you are looking at. You can ask it to take action based on your current screen.

You can also use this awareness to send things. While viewing a webpage, just say, "Send this to Asher Robles." Siri drafts the message with the link and lets you send it instantly.
Siri also taps into your app history. You can ask, "What does my mom like to order from Mission BBQ?" It will scan past receipts and tell you her exact order.
Siri AI is brilliant at parsing events. If you have a document or a webpage listing multiple dates, you no longer need to type them out manually.

Pro tip: This even works if you simply take a photo of a schedule displayed on your Mac screen.
Navigation is much smarter. You can now use natural voice commands to alter your route on the fly.
If you are already navigating, just tell Siri, "Add a stop for Starbucks on the way." It finds a location directly on your route and adds it seamlessly. You can even plan ahead by saying, "In about three hours, I need to find a place to stop with multiple options for eating." Apple Maps checks your route and suggests food clusters exactly where you will be in three hours.

Apple Maps also integrates perfectly with Find My. You can ask for directions to a family member's current location. It plots the route to their live location and displays their profile photo right on the map.
Keeping an eye on hard-to-find products is much easier now. Safari includes a Notify Me feature that monitors webpages in the background.

You will get a push notification the moment Safari detects a change on the page.
You can now stretch your widgets to fill the entire screen. This is perfect for complex apps where you need a lot of data at a glance.
The Weather app offers a massive forecast view. You can expand a Shortcuts widget to span the whole display. There are also full-screen options for Apple TV, Calendar, Stocks, Reminders, and your smart home controls.

Scrolling through endless smart home footage is a thing of the past. Apple Home now includes an AI-powered search bar for your video recordings.

You can also filter specifically for Packages & Deliveries. This makes it incredibly easy to see exactly when the courier dropped off your box.
Your iPhone will now automatically generate captions for any video you play. The smartest part is how it reacts to your volume settings.
If your phone is muted, the captions appear automatically. The second you turn the volume up, the captions disappear because your phone knows you are listening.

You can easily adjust the look of the text by tapping Style and selecting options like Transparent Background or Large Text.
You finally have a way to digitize all those stray loyalty cards and gym tags. You can now build a custom pass right inside the Wallet app.

Apple is turning the iPhone into a device that genuinely anticipates what you need. From parsing your schedules to mapping out your road trip food stops, iOS 27 feels like a massive leap forward. Take a few minutes to set up Safari notifications and play around with the new Siri context commands. You will wonder how you ever managed without them.
